This small, specialist school offers a calm and welcoming setting for children who are unable to attend mainstream education due to challenges such as school phobia, anxiety, or high-functioning autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
You ll be working in a purpose-built, well-resourced environment designed to meet the individual needs of pupils. Facilities include multiple sensory rooms with therapeutic features such as a giant fish tank and fully equipped teaching kitchens to support life skills development.
The Role
* Full-time, Monday to Friday only Consistency is key to building trust and rapport with pupils.
* Supporting learner engagement through creative and hands-on activities such as sports, drama, cooking, and life skills.
* Delivering tailored learning support by implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and supporting strategies outlined in Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Maintaining accurate student records and upholding the highest standards of safeguarding.

The Ideal Candidate
* Has professional experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
* Demonstrates a commitment to inclusion and a passion for working with children with additional needs.
* Possesses excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
* Uses a trauma-informed, nurturing approach to behaviour support and mentoring.
* Understands and adheres to safeguarding responsibilities and best practices.
