Quality Manager - 3PL Environment 6 Month Contract

Salary: £45,000 per annum

The Role:
* Investigate customer complaints and quality failures to identify root causes.
* Analyse data to pinpoint key failure modes and trends.
* Collaborate with quality assurance and operational teams to ensure effective implementation of corrective actions.
* Develop and maintain operational standards that align with industry best practices.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and share knowledge across teams.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to achieve optimal business results.
Key Accountabilities:
* Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities throughout the total supply chain.
* Support the development of operational programmes in line with business and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate closely with client Quality Managers on business‑specific change projects to maintain alignment with company policies and procedures.
* Evaluate business performance against established processes and procedures, clearly communicating performance standards and outcomes.
* Promote the highest levels of internal and external customer care, ensuring incident root‑cause reports are fully investigated and completed within contractual timeframes.
* Work collaboratively with operations teams to identify key failure modes and determine root causes of quality issues.
* Provide accurate data and analytical support to improvement teams as required.
* Ensure effective containment and corrective actions are carried out in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.
* Champion quality processes across all levels of the business, driving improvements in execution, feedback, and response quality.
* Undertake any additional duties as required to support the ongoing success of the business.
Experience and Specialist Knowledge:
* Background in a logistics, warehousing, or similar fast‑paced industry environment.
* Proven experience of following and adhering to established procedures, with the ability to clearly demonstrate, explain, and communicate their purpose within the business.
* Experience in writing, reviewing, and implementing operational or quality procedures.
* Customer‑facing experience with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels.
* Operational understanding of SAP within a warehouse or logistics setting.
* Strong working knowledge of standard company KPIs and an understanding of how these impact overall business performance.
* Comprehensive knowledge of quality processes, principles, concepts, and methodologies, with the ability to interpret and apply these effectively to day‑to‑day operations.
* Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees to achieve operational and quality objectives.
* Sound business acumen with a basic understanding of key financial drivers within an operational environment.
Desirable Experience:
* Previous experience within the automotive industry, transport operations, or warehouse management environments.
* GDP (Goods Distribution Practice).
