About the role:
Reporting to the Head of HR, you will lead best practice HR operations to attract, engage and retain talented people and achieve strategic goals. There’s a good balance between hands-on HR and involvement in strategy, with support for your learning and development. The main responsibilities of the role include:
* Manage recruitment for all offices except China (up to 3 roles at a time)
* Facilitate performance appraisal discussions and drive individual development plans
* Use our HRIS system to manage and report on HR information for continuous improvement
* Manage our HR Administrator, including overseeing a complex payroll function
* Lead health and safety monitoring to proactively look after staff wellbeing
* Support the Head of HR in managing Employment Relations
* Contribute to HR strategy and project work
For this role you will need:
* A strong HR Generalist background, with a relevant qualification
* In-depth knowledge of NZ employment law and HR best practice (international exposure would be an advantage)
* Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team and build productive relationships across the business
* A mature, measured and kind approach, with a high level of integrity, and sound decision making ability
* Strong organizational and planning skills with excellent to detail
* Well-developed writing skills are essential
* Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS software (Lanteria experience would be an advantage)
