Overview
The role is based within the Digital Services (DS) Systems team, with a primary focus on providing technical expertise and support for the University’s Estates systems. As a member of the Systems team in DS, you will collaborate closely with Estates to ensure their integrated platforms—such as CAFM, Building Management, Access Control, and Document Management—are reliable, secure, and continuously improved to meet operational and strategic needs. The position acts as a vital link, leveraging DS resources and best practices to deliver robust Estates system solutions and support ongoing development initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Lead a major Digital Services area, setting service levels, coordinating activity and driving continual service improvement.
* Resolve complex technical issues across applications, devices and infrastructure, using monitoring and analysis to keep services running smoothly.
* Oversee system enhancements, releases and integrations, working closely with Product Owners and users to ensure smooth deployment and high-quality outcomes.
* Design and support complex systems, producing high-quality documentation and ensuring solutions meet standards, integrate effectively and follow best practice.
* Lead initiatives and contribute to projects, assessing impacts, managing risks, supporting agile delivery and keeping stakeholders informed.
* Ensure security compliance, reviewing risks, handling security requests, monitoring adherence to policies and contributing to security procedures.
