Site Manager: Teesside

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant infrastructure project, shaping the future of clean energy in the UK. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Manager to oversee critical construction phases, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role:
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of construction activities on this complex and innovative project. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading and managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
* Championing a world-class health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture on site, ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislation and project requirements.
* Supervising and coordinating direct staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
* Monitoring progress against the project programme, identifying potential risks and delays, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
* Ensuring all works are carried out to the required quality standards, implementing and managing quality control procedures.
* Managing site resources, including labour, plant, and materials, to optimise efficiency and control costs.
* Maintaining accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and safety documentation.
* Liaising effectively with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Resolving any on-site issues or challenges in a timely and professional manner.
* Conducting regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
Essential Requirements:
* Valid CSCS Black Card (Manager)
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
Preferred Experience:
* Prior experience working with Tier 1 contractors.
