Overview
Opportunity to join Kohler as a Human Resources Manager, supporting the management staff and employee population of Guncast, Barr + Wray & Kast with occasional support for other Luxury Brands including Klafs. Role links HR activity to organizational goals through progressive and responsive HR practices.
Location
This position is onsite and can be based at either of the following locations:
* Glasgow, Scotland
* Petworth, West Sussex
Responsibilities
HR Strategy
* Participate in business unit staff and planning meetings to gain insight into the business and strategic plans. Support the development of Human Resource plans and actions to align talent with business goals.
* Identify opportunities for HR integration of recent acquisitions in the UK and recommend ways to synergize processes with Kohler.
Employee Development / Relations
* Assist in the talent review process and development of associate development plans; identify critical positions and develop succession strategies. Recommend developmental assignments for internal successors and high-potential employees.
* Counsel management on HR issues, performance problems, terminations, promotions, job content and descriptions, development and ACTs.
* Drive employee engagement through surveys, results review and planning of initiatives with management.
* Act as a liaison between employees and management where appropriate.
Performance Management
* Collaborate with leaders and HR resources to improve associate productivity and performance.
* Provide guidance on development planning and consistent use of the performance management system.
* Guide the performance review process in partnership with the HR Director (Klafs).
Recruiting & Integration
* Provide strategic support to recruiters for key positions, define search criteria, and coordinate recruiting projects for timely, cost-effective hires and positive candidate experience.
* Participate in interviews, coordinate panels, and contribute HR knowledge to select best candidates; assist with pre-employment testing as needed.
* Drive new hire integration and onboarding.
Training
* Adapt and execute regulatory training programs related to HR; identify training needs for people managers and partner with Kohler Learning to deliver leadership and talent development.
* Assist in developing specific skill set training.
Policy and Procedure
* Support updating HR policies and procedures and monitor compliance with government regulations.
* Monitor management compliance with HR policies and procedures; liaise with the Kohler legal department as necessary.
Administration
* Own relevant Personnel ACTs and align with managers on strategy and justification.
* Develop and maintain position descriptions; maintain compliance with governmental requirements and accurate records.
* Manage the wage increase program for annual reviews and assist with special projects including due diligence and acquisitions across Luxury Brands & Wellness.
Benefits Administration
* Serve as liaison for workers’ compensation, leave of absence and disability claims; coordinate with Kohler benefits where needed.
Skills / Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years HR experience, with preference for manufacturing or distributed sales environment.
