Trade Sales Executive

Location: Milton Keynes

Employment Type: Full-time, office-based with occasional client visits

Salary: £30,000 basic salary with on-target earnings (OTE) of up to £35,000 per annum

We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing business in the lighting solutions sector to find a Sales Executive who can help clients solve their lighting challenges and has a passion for sales.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands the needs of customers and enjoys helping others find the right solution. If you have worked in electrical, construction, maintenance, or a similar trade and have experience in a sales or customer-facing role, this could be your next great move.

The Role

You will be the first point of contact for inbound B2B enquiries, providing expert advice and converting leads into long-term customers. This role blends account management and sales-perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships and solving problems.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement: Respond to inbound enquiries via phone and email, guiding customers from initial contact through to repeat orders.
Expert Advice: Understand customer needs and recommend the best lighting solutions.
Sales Conversion: Convert leads into loyal customers through consultative selling and excellent service.
Order Management: Process trade orders accurately and efficiently, keeping customers informed on stock and delivery.
Account Growth: Reconnect with lapsed accounts and identify new opportunities to expand the trade client base.
CRM Updates: Maintain accurate customer data and interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
Client Visits: Occasionally visit customers to strengthen relationships and provide tailored solutions.What We Are Looking For

1-3 years of sales experience. Ideal for Ex-Tradespeople with Sales Experience
Strong communication and listening skills.
Confidence in building rapport and trust.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
A practical, problem-solving mindset.Person Specification

Proactive and target-driven with a passion for sales.
Customer-first attitude with a consultative approach.
Organised and meticulous in managing orders and accounts.
