Job Title: Cook

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and cook a variety of meals and specialized culinary items. The role includes working independently and as part of a team, preparing food for cook chill or cook freeze purposes.
Main Duties:
1. Prepare, cook, and serve meals, snacks, and beverages according to menus and standards.
2. Cater to dietary requirements and special functions.
3. Ensure food is cooked and stored hygienically.
4. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
5. Maintain accurate records, such as meal counts and stock control sheets.
6. Order and check food supplies, ensuring quality and quantity control.
7. Attend staff training and assist in training new team members.
General Responsibilities:
8. Provide a caring service and treat all individuals with courtesy and respect.
9. Comply with Health and Safety Policies and statutory regulations.
10. Adhere to Equality and Good Relations duties.
11. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
12. Comply with the HPSS Code of Conduct.
Essential Criteria:
13. City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent certificates, OR 3 years of relevant cooking experience, OR City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 years of relevant cooking experience, OR N.V.Q. Level 2 in Catering
14. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
