This role is part of the UK Packaging reorganisation proposal and is advertised internally only for directly impacted UK Packaging employees APPLICATIONS CLOSING DATE: 14th MAY 2026 About the role As a Quality Manager, you will be accountable for leading the quality strategy, governance, and performance improvement initiatives across UK&I sites across both Retail and Speciality and proactively striving to improve customer quality performance. Reporting to the Head of Quality & Ops Ex, you will ensure that UK, Clusters and Sites consistently deliver compliant, sustainable, and fit-for-purpose packaging solutions that meet customer expectations and regulatory standards. The role is pivotal in protecting and growing our Diamond and Gold customers and using quality to differentiate us in the market by fostering a proactive quality culture, supporting functional capability building, and embedding continuous improvement throughout the division. Key Responsibilities : Lead and deploy the UK&I quality strategy aligned to the Packaging Division strategy Develop and embed a robust Quality Management System (QMS) to drive standardisation, audit readiness, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement Define and govern key quality metrics (e.g. First-Time Pass Rate, Complaint Rate, Cost of Poor Quality) in line with Model to Serve principles Act as the senior quality interface for key customers, supported by site Quality Managers Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards (e.g. ISO 9001, BRCGS Packaging Materials) Provide functional leadership to site Quality teams, including capability building, talent development, and succession planning Lead escalation and resolution of major customer quality issues and internal non-conformances Oversee quality risk management, including audits, complaints, and mitigation actions Drive consistency and best practice across UK&I quality structures in partnership with site leadership About You Significant experience in senior quality management roles within a manufacturing environment Proven track record of leading quality transformation and delivering measurable KPI improvements Strong customer-facing experience, including engagement with major customers and certification bodies Sound knowledge of printing, die-cutting, and folding processes Degree-level qualification (Engineering, Packaging, Materials Science or similar) or equivalent experience Lean, Six Sigma, or BRCGS Packaging Materials qualification desirable Computer literacy with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SFDC systems Strong leadership, influencing, and problem-solving skills with a “right first time” mindset What we can offer you: Competitive salary Virtual GP, Pension scheme, Life insurance and Income Protection 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Employee Assistance Programme Employee Discounts Location: Remote with travel, UK
