The Vacancy
We have an opportunity for a Labourer/Driver to join our Wates team within our Planned Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Wolverhampton office with travel around the local area on one of our social housing contracts, delivering reactive maintenance and driving services to our residents in the local area.
Key Accountabilities will include:
1. Undertaking repair and renewal works
2. Advising the Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required
3. Working solely on certain tasks
4. Collaborating with other operatives to complete tasks
5. Completing daily worksheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job
6. Working efficiently to complete programme tasks on time
To be successful in the role
You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, multitask, work to tight deadlines, and maintain high standards of workmanship and productivity. Providing excellent customer service at all times is essential.
Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage.
