Are you ready to take your career to the next level? KFF is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Quality Manager to join our dynamic team at our Aylesford depot. Reporting directly to the Head of Distribution Quality Control, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Expected Start Date: July 1, 2025
Your Role and Responsibilities
As our Quality Manager, you will oversee our wholesale distribution depot and a small manufacturing facility. Your mission? To ensure compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene, and legal requirements through effective implementation and monitoring of our Quality Management System. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Maintain Salsa / STS certifications at the manufacturing site, with a goal to progress to BRC Food Safety.
* Ensure MSC / ASC and other third-party certifications are up to date.
* Maintain BRC Storage & Distribution certification for the distribution site.
* Conduct internal audits against the QMS & BRC S&D Standard.
* Manage the Approved Supplier List and implement a supplier audit program based on risk assessments.
* Approve new product codes and ensure accurate product labeling.
* Support customer and regulatory visits/audits as needed.
* Investigate complaints and product non-conformance related to technical issues.
* Train personnel on food safety, quality, hygiene, and legality.
About You
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* A full clean Driver's License.
* A degree in Food Science Technology (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
* HACCP and Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor qualifications.
* Demonstrable manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safety legislation, QMS, BRC standards, and auditing.
* Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
* Tenacity and a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
