Site Manager – Bicester
About the Role
DP World's Bicester site is a specialist hub supporting major record labels and entertainment clients. As Site Manager, you'll be the senior leader driving a fast‑paced, high‑performance operation where service reliability, rapid decision‑making, and strong commercial focus are essential.
You'll represent DP World to key music‑industry partners, balancing operational excellence with customer expectations, commercial outcomes, and a positive people culture. This role shapes the site's direction—building capability, fostering continuous improvement, and ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable performance.
NOTE: This is a full-time role that requires daily on-site presence.
How You Will Contribute
* Serve as the senior operational lead for music‑industry customers, building strong relationships and supporting commercial reviews, negotiations, and service discussions.
* Ensure operational decisions balance service quality, customer needs, and commercial outcomes.
* Lead daily performance of a fast‑paced, time‑critical distribution site, making quick, informed decisions and flexing plans around release cycles and peak demand.
* Drive service, productivity, safety, and quality KPIs while resolving operational issues at root cause.
* Own site P&L, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and management of out‑of‑scope work; support commercial teams on pricing and contracts.
* Build a high‑performance culture with clear expectations, strong leadership development, talent pipelines, and high engagement.
* Lead continuous improvement, site readiness for new services, and operational changes, working cross‑functionally to enhance value for customers.
* Ensure full compliance with Safety, Quality, Security, Customs, environmental and corporate governance standards while overseeing facility management and alignment with regional teams.
What You Will Bring
Essential
* Senior leadership experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
* Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting customer negotiations or service-based contracts.
* Experience working in customer-facing operational roles with high service expectations.
* Proven ability to make sound decisions quickly in fast-moving environments.
* Track record of building and leading high-performing teams and site culture.
* Strong financial understanding (budgets, cost control, performance drivers).
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Desirable
* Experience in music, media, retail, or other demand-volatile supply chains.
* Exposure to working with brand owners, rights holders, or commercial clients with time-critical product cycles.
* Experience in 3PL or contract logistics.
