Hilton Birmingham Metropole is seeking a Senior Sales Manager with proven experience in sales and hospitality. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will support the development and execution of key growth sales strategies within the Groups/MICE market and drive revenue for the hotel.

As a Senior Sales Manager, you will have a proven track record in the MICE market and the ability to proactively source new direct and agency business, as well as grow existing relationships within a pre-determined vertical and portfolio of accounts, to help meet the hotel’s overall budget. You will lead research activities for our L&D and BBOB business, allocating these activities vertically to the team.


While your primary responsibility will be driving MICE into the hotel, managing group and other accounts may also be required.

You will build strong relationships with the Hilton Worldwide Sales team across regions and participate in Hilton initiatives to promote the hotel globally.

The role is target-driven by revenue and monitored through customer contact activities. It requires travel, flexibility in working hours and location, and the ability to manage time and resources remotely.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Develop key sales strategies for GC&E in collaboration with the DOS and team
* Manage key Group and MICE clients to increase market share
* Proactively source and manage new GC&E business
* Maintain relationships with conference agencies and corporate accounts
* Keep abreast of market trends
* Participate in sales blitzes, trade shows, workshops, and trips
* Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales teams to promote Hilton BM
* Negotiate rates aligned with hotel strategy
* Implement creative marketing and social selling initiatives
* Coordinate with the Groups, Conference, and Events team for seamless customer experience
* Collaborate with hotel departments to enhance guest experience and sales programs
* Report activities, appointments, calls, and leads accurately
* Respond promptly to customer queries
* Arrange and deliver hotel show rounds for events up to £50k, with growth potential
* Follow safety, health, and legislative regulations
