The Safeguarding Manager plays a key role in delivering all safeguarding and family support, working in partnership with other members of staff to deliver an innovative and responsible model of Early Help for families facing disadvantage and social isolation while strengthening the capacity for both child and adult safeguarding.

Main Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
1. Working collaboratively with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to plan, deliver and review projects that improve outcomes for vulnerable students.
2. Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the organisation, and support staff in following all safeguarding policies and procedures and statutory requirements.
3. As a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, have joint responsibility for safeguarding and child protection in the CYP area, liaising with the local authority MASH team and other professionals, attending meetings and carrying out actions as required.
4. Co-ordinate regular stakeholder consultation to ensure that parents and students voices are central in evaluating the effectiveness of the safeguarding practices within school.
5. Work in partnership with DSL and Office Manager to ensure that all Safeguarding and Child Protection training is up to date and coordinate a programme of refresher training as needed.
6. Maintain accurate and up to date records of all safeguarding concerns and incidents, reporting any concerns promptly and following up as required.
7. Prepare a weekly report for DSL and attend weekly meeting to discuss ongoing issues.
8. Organise and carry out home visits as appropriate.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience required includes:
1. Experience of family support
2. Safeguarding and Child Protection Level 2 or above
3. Experience in a role directly supporting families with children under 18
4. Proven track record of successfully leading safeguarding and/or family support
5. Knowledge and understanding of early interventions, strategies that work effectively with families
6. Knowledge of statutory requirements
