My client, a small privately owned developer, is looking to appoint a Site Manager for 2 new schemes of 7 units in both Orsett, Nr Grays and Wanstead, East London all traditional new build units, HA
This would be an ideal role for a SM looking to move away from a PLC or an experienced ASM, No2 who has looked after their own phases to take on a new challenge, working for a privately run developer.
Duties,
1. No1, reporting in to the owners
2. Providing clear direction to the on-site construction team regarding responsibilities and targets
3. Will work towards looking after more schemes for the business
4. Managing the day to day operation from foundation to completion, and the critical paths for labour, materials and plant, including material lead times
5. Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
6. Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates
7. Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure
8. Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process
9. Ensuring the development pass internal and external inspection processes
10. Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are followed and adhered to
11. Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
12. Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approve stage completions to payments to subcontractors
13. Ensuring any remedial work is completed prior to occupation
14. Ensuring customer service remains of the highest priority at all times with everyone on site
Qualifications,
15. Experience of working on traditional build schemes
16. Experience of being either a SM, No2 or Experienced ASM
17. Working as part of a full production team
18. CSCS,
19. First Aid
20. Scaffold awareness
