Gympanzees is building something the UK has never seen before – the first fully inclusive leisure, exercise and play centre for disabled children and young people (0–25) and their families.And we’re looking for an HR Manager to help build the people, culture and systems that will bring it to life.Why this role matters:You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment. Pre-launch, you’ll shape the workforce, systems and culture. Post-launch, you’ll be the go-to HR lead supporting a diverse, values-driven team delivering real impact every single day.This is a hands-on, senior HR role where you’ll combine strategy with delivery – working closely with the CEO, COO and Centre Manager to build a supportive, inclusive and high-performing organisation.What you’ll be doing:Leading all HR activity across Gympanzees, end-to-endDesigning and implementing HR policies, processes and systems from the ground upLeading inclusive recruitment and onboarding for staff and volunteersSupporting managers with employee relations, performance, wellbeing and developmentBuilding and embedding an accessible, inclusive culture – including supporting neurodivergent and disabled colleaguesDeveloping a structured volunteer programme alongside the leadership teamChampioning safeguarding, compliance and best practice throughout the organisationAbout you:You’ll likely be someone who:Has CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)Has built or significantly improved HR systems in a growing or start-up environmentIs confident across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and wellbeingBrings strong UK employment law and safer recruitment knowledgeHas experience supporting neurodivergent and disabled colleagues, including reasonable adjustmentsIs organised, proactive and comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on deliveryIs genuinely aligned to Gympanzees’ mission and valuesExperience in charity, leisure, hospitality, education or people-centred environments is a plus, but mindset and values matter most.What’s on offer:Salary up to £50,000 (depending on experience)Full-time or 4 days per weekHybrid working (South Gloucestershire, BS35 4BL)25 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing to 30 with service, plus your birthday offHealthcare cash planEmployee Assistance ProgrammeTraining and development opportunitiesCompany pensionHow to apply:Send applications to oliver.h@enable-recruitment.co or click ApplyApplications are reviewed on a rolling basis and the role may close early.
