Role Purpose
The Qualification Developer is responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, and maintaining high quality qualifications and resource materials. This role ensures that all products meet regulatory requirements, reflect sector needs, and uphold organisational and regulatory requirements for accuracy, validity, and quality throughout the qualification lifecycle.
Job Requirements
* Contribute to the organisation's qualification development strategy in line with regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ofqual) and sector needs.
* Lead the full lifecycle of qualification development, including scoping, drafting, consultation, internal review, and launch.
* Develop project plans, timelines, risks, and documentation to ensure successful delivery of qualification products.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams such as Quality, Operations, Assessment, and Admin to ensure alignment and implementation.
* Engage with SMEs, Centres, employers, and key stakeholders to gather insight and ensure sector relevance.
* Monitor regulatory updates, reforms, and industry trends to inform qualification design and future planning.
* Support resourcing, planning, and documentation for qualification development projects, including budgeting where applicable.
Quality & Improvement
* Ensure all qualifications and assessments comply with regulatory standards, internal policies, and quality frameworks.
* Develop, review, and maintain qualification specifications, assessment materials, marking guides, and support resources.
* Use feedback from centres, EQAs, learners, and regulators to drive continuous improvement.
* Support standardisation, quality assurance, and moderation processes to ensure validity, reliability, and consistency.
* Conduct regular evaluation and scheduled review cycles to maintain accuracy and currency of qualification content.
* Implement corrective or improvement actions following audits, EQA findings, complaints, incidents, or regulatory updates.
* Maintain thorough documentation, version control, and audit trails for all development activities.

* Professional integrity and commitment to high standards in qualification and assessment design.
* Internal Quality Assurance qualification is desirable
