Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Learning Mentor to work with pupils who have complex educational, social, or emotional needs. This role provides personalised, intensive support to help children engage in learning, develop life skills, and thrive in a structured environment. The position is temporary, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver one-to-one and small group support for pupils with high support needs.
* Implement tailored strategies to support behaviour, emotional regulation, and wellbeing.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to create personalised learning plans.
* Support pupils in achieving learning and personal development goals.
* Maintain detailed records of progress and interventions.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with complex needs, SEND, or EHCPs.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Patience, resilience, and ability to adapt to individual pupil needs.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Relevant qualifications in education, mentoring, or therapeutic support are desirable.
