Deputy Catering Manager - Forest Oak School - 22.50 hours per week

Salary: £12,781.84 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Work 22.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only at Merstone and Forest Oak School.
* Undertake general kitchen duties and maintain a high standard of food presentation and service.
* Serve meals and assist customers in selecting dishes, ensuring all food is at the right temperature, garnished, and served properly.
* Follow the Centralised menu plan for breakfasts, lunches, buffets, and promotions, ensuring the Governments Nutritional/Food based Standards are met.
* Order, prepare, and cook food accordingly, and set up and manage dining areas for all types of catering requirements, including function catering.
* Compile and submit all required statistical documentation to the central administration office (e.g., trading sheets, payroll adjustment sheets, periodic stock control sheets).
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 Award in Hospitality and Catering Principles, together with Level 2 Food Safety.
* An enthusiastic, self‑motivated person who is approachable, flexible, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively to meet customers’ diverse needs.
* Experience in general kitchen duties and a strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
* Successful DBS check (currently required).
