We are looking for an outstanding Part-time Cook (Weekends Only) who is passionate about food and wants to make a difference to join our team at Cygnet Conifers. Working both Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 am till 03:00 pm. Please be aware face-to-face training will be required, which will take place during the week.
Conifers is a specialist residential home providing outcome-focused care for adults with a primary diagnosis of profound to moderate learning disability and autism with associated complex needs. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable, and effective environment, promoting independence and community integration. Conifers is a seven-bed home with en-suite bedrooms located on the ground floor, enabling the team to support individuals who may be in a wheelchair.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an outstanding Part-time Cook (Weekends Only) who is passionate about food and wants to make a difference to join our team at Cygnet Conifers.
* Prepare, cook, and serve nutritional, balanced, and appetizing meals
* Liaise with nursing colleagues to meet patients' nutritional and dietary needs
* Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas, and dining room
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and Food Hygiene Regulations
* Handle, maintain, and store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
* Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

Person Specification
* A skilled Cook who can work under pressure
* Preferably experienced in the care sector
* Able to plan nourishing and attractive menus within available budgets
* The holder of a food hygiene certificate, with good personal hygiene standards
* Polite and professional, with a positive attitude to internal and external guests at all times
* An excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels
* Qualified in catering to City and Guilds 706: 1 and 2 level or NVQ Level 2/3
Please note that successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
