Job : Data Architect Salary : £80,000 - £90,000 Type : Permanent As a Data Architect, you will you will play a critical role in driving our data strategy, data architecture and designing data solutions. You will contribute and oversee the implementation of our data strategy that supports our financial services operations by providing data architecture consultancy, collaborating with all areas of our organisation to understand business requirements and develop scalable data architectures that enable efficient data management, analytics, and integration. You will be responsible for ensuring that our data architecture is defined, managed and that solutions align with our strategic objectives while addressing the complexities of diverse architectural domains. Key Responsibilities The role involves day-to-day responsibility for technology governance and delivery support activities including: Data Strategy & Design Support the creation, maintenance and execution of our Data Strategy Provide data leadership within the organisation instilling a data culture and embedding best practice. Support the development and execution of our Data Strategy Roadmap. A member of our Data Governance Council Design and develop scalable and robust data architectures that support our business. Define and document data models, schemas, and data flows to ensure efficient data management and retrieval. Work with projects and stakeholders to ensure data requirements are captured and solutions deliver in line with our data architecture and standards. Create and maintain architectural artefacts e.g. principles, diagrams, catalogues, standards and patterns. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, document and manage data issues. Data Integration and Reporting Develop data integration strategies and solutions to facilitate seamless data exchange between internal systems, external partners, and third-party platforms. Work with providers and partners to ensure data alignment across the respective architectures enabling scalable integrations. Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to design and implement data reporting and analytics solutions that provide actionable insights for decision-making. Define and oversee our reporting architecture ensuring that it meets our organisations requirements and the right capabilities are used to deliver business reports/management information. Oversee and impact assess system changes against existing integrations to ensure ongoing operations and opportunities. CRM Data Architecture Integrate customer relationship management (CRM) systems into our data architecture to centralise client data and enable personalised client interactions. Ensure seamless data synchronization between CRM systems and other data sources. Ensure deliverables are accessible to stakeholders and the wider business (where required) Data Governance, Risk and Security Identify potential data risks and challenges and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Optimise solution performance and scalability by implementing best practices and appropriate architectural patterns. Ensure all solutions meet our security and regulatory requirements and receive approval Qualifications & Skills 8 years' experience either as a Data Architect, or similar, with a track record of successfully delivering data maturity within an organisation. Experience within the financial service sector is desired, specifically in the financial advice. Certifications or experience in data frameworks and industry standard models (e.g., DAMA) and architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is desirable. Proven experience with data integration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL, APIs, middleware). Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and their integration with data architectures. Comprehensive knowledge of data modelling, data design principles, and data lake and warehousing concepts. Leadership qualities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach. Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
