Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and ambitious Sales Assistant to join our team, supporting the growth of our core product lines in metal cladding, roofing, and related systems. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives on building relationships, actively generating new business opportunities, and delivering engaging CPD presentations to clients and prospects. You will play a key part in driving sales across your designated territory, supporting both new and existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
 * New Business Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities within the specified geographical area, establishing strong relationships with contractors, architects, and other industry professionals.
 * Client Engagement: Schedule and deliver technical CPD presentations to clients, helping them understand product benefits and specifications, and supporting their decision-making processes.
 * Account Support: Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
 * Product Knowledge & Technical Support: Develop a deep understanding of our metal cladding, roofing systems, and related products to effectively communicate technical benefits and specifications.
 * Market Development: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to position the company as a trusted supplier of high-quality building envelope solutions.
 * Sales Administration: Support the sales process from quotation to order, including preparing proposals, following up with clients, and ensuring smooth order processing.
 * Territorial Management: Cover designated postcodes with a focus on expanding our presence and securing key projects in the South London area.

 * Competitive salary range of £55,000–£65,000, plus an attractive commission scheme starting at 2.5%, increasing up to 12% based on performance and sales targets.

Candidate Profile:
 * Proven experience in technical sales within the building envelope industry, especially in metal cladding, roofing, or similar Garland products.
 * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and confidently.
 * Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development.
 * Full UK driving license and willing to travel within the territory to meet clients, visit sites, and attend industry events.
 * Results-driven with a desire to achieve and exceed sales targets.
