As a Retrofit Site Manager, you’ll oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of multi-site retrofit programmes — including insulation, ventilation, low-carbon heating, windows and doors, and renewable installations. You’ll be managing operational teams and subcontractors, ensuring every project meets PAS 2030/2035 standards and achieves outstanding results for clients and residents alike.
About the Role
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of retrofit projects across occupied social housing and public sector properties.
* Prepare and control programmes of work, ensuring completion within budget, quality, and timescales.
* Lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors, providing technical support and performance feedback.
* Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Building Regulations, and funding requirements (ECO, SHDF, etc.).
* Liaise with clients, residents, and local stakeholders to maintain positive communication and smooth delivery.
* Ensure all works comply with relevant regulations including Gas Safe, Electrical, and PAS 2030/2035 standards.
* Collaborate with the commercial and technical teams to manage budgets, cost control, and reporting.
* Promote a strong safety-first culture across all projects and teams.
About You
You’ll bring a solid foundation in construction or building services, ideally gained through a trade background and developed into site or project management.
* Proven experience managing site operations within retrofit, social housing, or construction projects.
* SMSTS and CSCS (Managers Category) certifications.
* IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage project budgets effectively.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* IT literate (Microsoft Office, project planning tools, AutoCAD).
* Full UK driving licence.
