Experienced HR Manager
Location: Foston, United Kingdom
Salary: £42,500
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00
Responsibilities
* Strategic HR: building strong relationships, supporting workforce planning, succession, and skills development.
* Recruitment & Talent: coordinating hiring (permanent and agency), onboarding, probation, and retention.
* Employee Relations: advising on conduct, capability, grievance, absence; leading investigations; ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
* Performance Management: embedding goal setting, reviews, and improvement plans.
* HR Systems: UKG Ready SME, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and reporting.
* Attendance & Wellbeing: managing absence, arranging OH referrals, promoting wellbeing.
* Compliance & Policies: promoting DEI, ensuring compliance with UK employment law, Right-to-Work, and GDPR.
* Training & Development: identifying learning needs, supporting succession planning.
* Compensation & Benefits: supporting reward, recognition, and benchmarking.
* HR Projects: leading initiatives to improve processes, people experience, and business outcomes.
Qualifications
* 5+ years progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice, and employee relations.
* Proficiency in HR systems (UKG preferred) and MS Office.
* Experience in workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development.
* A CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable but not essential.
* Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
* A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance people and business needs.
