Job Description
3. HACCP Member
4. To review and up-date the Quality System that complies with all standards required by the regulatory authorities.
5. To support the continuous improvement of a good Food Safety Culture, and the Food Safety Business Plan
6. Key responsibilities include managing the day-to-day duties including the Technical Team and supporting being audit ready
7. at all times
8. Corrective actions are put in place to ensure technical integrity and standards are maintained at all times
9. To work in partnership with a range of high-profile customers, ensuring and promoting best practice
10. Reacting and pro-actively planning for technical demands that arise as the sites grow
11. Monitor compliance against all legal entities.
12. Co- Supporting customer visits and complaints (root cause analysis, trending, interface with customers). Lead or deputise
13. when the Group Technical Manager is not on site.
14. Maintain the specification database and highest quality standards are met through robust quality practices
15. Monitor the quality and safety aspects of purchased products
16. To provide technical assistance to the product development team
17. To liaise with operations and ensure compliance with good housekeeping KPI's
18. To contribute fully to the continuous improvement in business performance as a member of the Senior Management Team
19. Support the internal auditing management system
20. Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved
21. Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements
22. Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation
23. Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
24. Observing technical staff in carrying out tests and checks
25. Mentoring positive change to employees to incorporate improved quality methods
26. Establishing standards of service for customers or clients
27. Root Cause Analysis mentality for internal close out of raised non-conformances
The Successful Applicant
A successful Food Safety Compliance Manager/Quality Manager should have:
28. Ideally, A recognised qualification in Food Science, Microbiology or a related field.
29. Experience in a similar role within Food Manufacturing
30. Profound knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
31. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
32. Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
33. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
