Our client is a major law firm seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer in London. An engaging, high‑impact employment law position at the heart of a sophisticated in‑house legal function within a major law firm.
This position involves strategic guidance on employment matters, risk mitigation, policy development and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage contentious employment matters, develop litigation strategies, mitigate legal risks, and oversee dispute resolution.
2. Coordinate and advise on sensitive employment-related investigations, delivering strategic recommendations to senior management.
3. Prepare, review and negotiate complex employment documentation (contracts, mobility terms, separations, waivers, indemnities, etc.).
4. Work with external counsel across EMEA to ensure alignment with varied employment laws and regulatory requirements.
5. Track and interpret new or pending employment legislation and advise on strategic implications.
6. Create and implement employment-related policies and processes consistent with legal and organisational objectives.
7. Review employment‑law provisions in commercial contracts and advise on workforce‑related aspects such as TUPE and international equivalents.
