We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of Park Hall Hotel. This role supports our commitment to high standards of presentation and guest experience by ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained throughout the property.
Responsibilities
* Carry out general repairs and maintenance across the hotel, including doors, fixtures, furniture, and fittings
* Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks
* Replace light bulbs, fix minor leaks, and perform basic decorating or touch-ups
* Support seasonal maintenance tasks (e.g., gritting in winter, preparation for events)
* Maintain and clean tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and functional
* Report larger maintenance issues or health & safety concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor
* Assist other departments as needed (e.g., setting up event spaces, preparing rooms)
* Support emergency maintenance situations as required
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in general building maintenance, repairs, or handyman work
* Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and decorating
* Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and use tools safely
* Strong time management, reliability, and attention to detail
* Good communication and teamwork skills
