Learning Mentor
TLTP is recruiting a behaviour mentor for a specialist school based in Redbridge.
This role involves working with a child who can display quite challenging behaviour. We are looking for experienced professionals with team teach or equivalent training and confidence in using it.
About the School
The specialist SEN school caters for young people with ASD, ADHD, complex needs, obsessive‑compulsive disorder and attachment disorders.
Responsibilities
* Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people and staff.
* Collaborate with the classroom teacher to define appropriate activities related to the curriculum.
* Assess children with learning difficulties and work with colleagues to identify individual needs.
* Liaise with other professionals such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists.
Qualifications
* SEN, EBD and mental health experience.
* Experience working with children with SEMH in a special needs environment.
* Experience working with secondary aged pupils.
* Current DBS and full UK driving licence.
* Classroom experience and a current DBS service update.
