This full-time role provides invaluable classroom experience supporting students with diverse needs while developing your understanding of learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. You’ll support students aged 11–18 with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You’ll gain experience in: Applying psychological and educational support techniques such as emotional regulation and sensory integration. Working collaboratively with SEND specialists, educational psychologists, and therapy professionals. Using restorative and trauma-informed approaches to build positive relationships and promote engagement. Developing communication, observation, and reflective practice skills essential for psychology careers. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group learning and emotional support. Help implement and review individual education and behaviour plans. Accurately record and reflect on student progress and wellbeing. We’re Looking For A degree in Psychology or a related subject (essential). A genuine interest in educational, developmental, or child psychology. Experience working with children or young people (desirable). Empathy, resilience, and strong communication skills.
