Site Manager (Out-of-Hours) – Contract

An established construction and interiors specialist is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a commercial fit-out project in London.
This is an out-of-hours position, overseeing site activity during evenings, nights, and/or weekends to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing site operations outside of standard working hours, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining site control, and ensuring progress aligns with project timelines.
This role is key to maintaining momentum on site while upholding high standards of health & safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Review drawings, specifications, and scope of works
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors during out-of-hours periods
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety requirements
* Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure standards are met
* Provide updates to the wider project team on progress and issues
* Oversee general site operations, logistics, and site setup
* Track progress against programme and support delivery to deadlines
* Maintain accurate site records and documentation
* Identify and escalate risks or issues where required
* Support final stages of the project including snagging and handover
About You
* Experience working as a Site Manager on commercial construction or fit-out projects
* Experience delivering office interiors or similar environments is advantageous
* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS)
* Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Experience managing subcontractors on-site
* Well organised with strong time management skills
* Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Able to work independently during out-of-hours shifts
* Comfortable using standard IT systems (e.g. MS Office)
