Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced General Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set encompassing electrical, mechanical, and maintenance tasks, with the ability to supervise and lead projects when necessary. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various facilities and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety across our premises.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, electrical systems, and structural components.
* Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs and installations.
* Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required to repair or modify equipment or structures.
* Manage electrical systems, including troubleshooting issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control devices.
* Supervise maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards.
* Lead small teams or projects when supervising other staff or contractors.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks.
Skills
* Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems.
* Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
* Experience in welding, metal fabrication, and mechanical repairs.
* Solid understanding of electrical systems and mechanical knowledge relevant to facility maintenance.
* Proven experience in general maintenance tasks across diverse environments.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead teams effectively.
* Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues.
* Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently and motivate team members. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance challenges, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
