About the role
Do you have a passion for supporting learners with additional needs and helping them to achieve their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and student‑centred Inclusive Learning Mentor to join our Inclusive Learning team at our Croxteth and Walton centres.
As an Inclusive Learning Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities receive the tailored support they need to thrive.
You will work directly with learners to help them develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to succeed. You will provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support, focusing on study skills, organisation, motivation and overcoming barriers to learning. You will work closely with learners with a range of support needs, including those with EHCPs, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and learning difficulties or disabilities. Your mentoring will help learners engage positively with their studies and achieve their goals.
You will provide in‑class, small‑group, and 1:1 support, helping students to develop confidence, independence, study skills, and effective learning strategies. This includes adapting learning materials, using assistive technologies, and working creatively to reduce barriers to learning.
A central part of the role involves liaising closely with curriculum staff, ensuring they are aware of student needs and that suitable adjustments and support plans are in place.
Above all, you will champion an inclusive, person‑centred approach that aligns with Myerscough’s values — helping students feel supported, understood, and empowered to succeed in their chosen pathway.
