Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a leading UK manufacturer in their search for a Quality Manager to join their growing operation based in Leeds.
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering the technical and quality strategy across the business.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead a talented technical team covering product design, development, validation, and continuous improvement, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
You will take ownership of product quality from concept to customer, embedding robust systems, processes, and culture across design, manufacturing, and installation. With a strong engineering background and a passion for data-driven improvement, you will use metrics, analysis, and customer feedback to drive performance and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary technical team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee product design, validation, and testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal benchmarks.
* Implement and improve Quality Management Systems, monitoring key metrics such as defect rates, warranty claims, and in-field performance.
* Manage technical and quality projects to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery aligned with operational objectives.
* Partner with cross-functional teams in Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience to optimise product reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
* Drive R&D and innovation initiatives focused on product performance, materials, and process optimisation.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in a senior technical or quality management role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and production processes.
* Demonstrable experience in driving product and process improvements through data analysis and structured problem-solving.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Results-oriented, analytical, and highly organised with a continuous improvement mindset.
