Overview
Due to the retirement of our current Catering Manager, the governors of this Catholic High School wish to appoint a Catering Manager to join our Catering Team at Cardinal Allen Catholic High School, Fleetwood, Lancashire.
Summary: Cardinal Allen is a great place to work with strong community support. The successful candidate will lead the school catering team and be responsible for day-to-day control and organisation of the school catering service, providing break and lunch services to staff and pupils each day.
Responsibilities
* The day-to-day control and organisation of the school catering service
* The cooking and service of a varied range of meals in accordance with recipes and menus in line with school food standards
* Managing, training and motivating catering staff
* Work with the Catering Team (Catering Manager, Assistant Catering Manager and 5 Catering Assistants) and the lunchtime Welfare team
* Operate Vericool cashless dining system with two cashless tills for each service
* Manage break and lunch service scheduling, including 15-minute break services and three lunch services
* Maintain a rolling 3-week menu and manage approximately 380 meals in a typical lunchtime service

We are looking for a Catering Manager to lead the school's Catering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day control and organisation of the school catering service, providing break and lunch services to staff and pupils daily.

We are seeking someone with enthusiasm, energy, organisation and the ability to manage the work of an experienced team. The candidate should have excellent catering and people management skills along with a strong commitment to customer service.

Essential Qualifications
* Recognised Food Hygiene Qualification (or willingness to undertake if out of date)

* Recognised Nutrition Qualification
* Recognised Advanced Craft Skills Qualification
Essential Experience
* Sound knowledge of HACCP & COSHH
* Experience in a customer service environment
* Experience of large-scale catering
* Experience in managing teams
Desirable Experience
* Commercial catering experience
* Knowledge of child protection / safeguarding policy
