Water Quality Manager (Regulations) – Midlands / East (Multi-site)
I’m working with a major infrastructure organisation looking to bring in a senior hire to take ownership of water quality and regulatory compliance across multiple regions.
This is a key leadership role sitting across the full water supply chain — from source and treatment through to distribution — ensuring safe, compliant drinking water and maintaining customer confidence at all times.
You’ll be leading a specialist team, working closely with production and network operations, and acting as the go-to for water quality across the business.
Key focus areas:
* Owning water quality performance across the clean water network (source to tap)
* Leading monitoring strategies, sampling programmes, and regulatory compliance
* Managing and responding to water quality incidents, ensuring effective resolution
* Working closely with treatment works, distribution, and network teams
* Driving continuous improvement across hygiene, compliance, and operational practices
* Acting as a key contact for regulators and industry stakeholders
Ideal background:
* Strong experience across water supply / clean water / potable water environments
* In-depth understanding of UK water regulations and DWI expectations
* Experience working closely with treatment processes, networks, and operational teams
* Leadership experience within a regulated utility or infrastructure setting
* Comfortable making decisions in high-pressure or incident-led scenarios
This is a role with real impact — protecting public health, influencing operational standards, and shaping how water quality is delivered across a large-scale network.
