How you will make an impact
Cabrini Health has vacancies available for experienced hospitality trained Cooks to support our Food Preparation team on a Casual basis. The Trade Cook will prepare bulk, nutritionally balanced food for our patients and functions in our large kitchen. Our team is experienced, supportive and dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service.
The role requires some work on weekends, public holidays, Christmas and the New Year period, as rostered. This is a great role to develop your skills, expand your career and have true lifestyle balance with multiple and flexible casual shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
5. Preparing bulk high quality and nutritionally balanced food and beverages efficiently and according to requirements
6. Assisting with the general operation of the kitchen
7. Stock control management and ordering
8. Quality control and meeting food safety (HACCP) requirements
9. Liaising with healthcare professionals in regard to patient dietary needs
Shifts are available between Mon-Sun with earliest shifts commencing at 5:30AM and latest shifts concluding at 8:00PM.
About you
You will be an experienced Cook and have worked within healthcare or aged care setting (desirable). You will also have the following:
10. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
11. Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
12. Recent experience in a commercial or bulk cooking environment
13. A positive attitude and professional manner with the ability to work well under pressure
14. Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards
15. Excellent organisational skills and are reliable and flexible
