Are you passionate about creating market-leading talent experiences? We’re building a brand-new in-house Talent Acquisition team at Santander UK, and we’re looking for passionate recruitment experts to help us internalise and elevate our hiring experience. This is your opportunity to drive change, shape our recruitment processes, and contribute to building the workforce of the future.
Here, your expertise won’t just fill roles—it will shape careers, influence business growth. This is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal time, shaping the future of talent, driving value beyond hiring, and contributing to a market-leading employee experience across the organization.
As a STEM specialist Recruiter within the Talent Experience team at Santander UK, you will play a pivotal role in acquiring top-tier talent to meet the organization’s evolving needs. Your responsibilities include identifying, attracting, and hiring exceptional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) professionals to support the Bank's strategic workforce planning and drive innovation. You will manage the end-to-end vacancy process, including sourcing, and work closely with hiring managers, strategic people partners, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless recruitment process that fosters career development and growth.
What you’ll bring:
* Proven experience in recruitment with a strong understanding of end-to-end processes, ideally with STEM hiring experience.
* Experience developing and executing talent attraction strategies, including leveraging digital platforms, networking, and targeted campaigns.
* Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to engage and influence candidates and stakeholders.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and external partners.
* Capability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and solve challenges proactively.
It would also be nice for you to have:
* Experience managing multiple requisitions with competing priorities; organized, agile, and solution-oriented.
* Creative flair for building targeted attraction campaigns and managing the candidate journey end-to-end.
* Confidence using data and recruitment technology to inform decisions and drive improvement.
* A passion for delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
What else you need to know:
* This role is based in Unity Place, Milton Keynes.
* We support flexible working; the expected office attendance is at least days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles). Consider your commuting distance, time, and costs when applying.
* We’re happy to discuss specific working patterns during the recruitment process.
Inclusion
At Santander, we’re creating a workplace where all colleagues feel they belong and are supported. We celebrate diversity and aim to attract, retain, and develop talented people by living our values of Simple, Personal, and Fair.
How we’ll reward you:
* Competitive salary and benefits package tailored to your needs.
* Discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
* Company contributions to your pension—up to a certain percentage of your salary.
* Days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with years of service, with options to purchase additional days.
* Car allowance and private medical insurance.
* Discounted healthcare benefits for family, dental, and health assessments.
* Protection benefits including death-in-service and income protection insurance, with options for additional coverage.
* Participation in Santander’s share plans.
* Access to Santander products and discounts as an employee.
