Learning Mentor – Bromley – Immediate Start

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to join a supportive mainstream secondary school in Bromley. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to students' wellbeing, behaviour, and academic progress.
As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide targeted support to students who experience barriers to learning, including behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). Your role will involve delivering one-to-one mentoring, small group sessions, and in-class support, helping students stay engaged, build resilience, and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Deliver one-to-one mentoring, small group sessions, and in-class support to students.
* Provide targeted support for students with barriers to learning, including SEMH.
* Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to monitor progress and wellbeing.
* Promote engagement, resilience, and positive behaviours for learning.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children or young people (in schools or similar settings).
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A calm, patient and supportive approach to behaviour and learning support.
