Reward & Recognition Manager
Hybrid working, 2-3 days in the client's London office
£68,000 – £75,000 + benefits
Full-time, permanent
A newly created role with long-term scope, this position sits within a major UK organisation currently undergoing strategic transformation. The role is centred around delivering large-scale reward projects, shaping internal processes, and supporting leadership in implementing forward-thinking frameworks across multiple people functions. You'll be joining at a pivotal point where the right structure, governance, and insight will make a real, tangible impact on how people are recognised, rewarded, and retained across the business.
With strong leadership support and future growth planned, this is a rare opportunity to step into a role with visibility, strategic input, and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver structured approaches to performance-related pay and bonus frameworks
* Implement recommendations from an ongoing job evaluation and pay benchmarking programme
* Lead or support internal reviews across secondments, benefits, recognition schemes, and high-value contracts
* Provide subject matter expertise and act as an internal advisor on reward policy and governance
* Develop and refine frameworks for collective, management and admin pay awards
* Contribute to shaping a sustainable total reward offering aligned with business goals
* Represent the function confidently in senior leadership conversations and across the wider people team
What They’re Looking For
* Proven experience designing and delivering reward frameworks in a complex organisation
* Deep knowledge of job evaluation (Hay preferred), benchmarking tools (e.g. WTW or Korn Ferry), and performance-based pay
* Background in a unionised environment where governance, clarity, and challenge are key
* A confident communicator with presence and credibility at senior levels
* Calm, composed, and steady under pressure — someone who can manage volume without being overwhelmed
* Collaborative leadership style with the ability to guide and elevate a quiet but capable team
* Strong stakeholder management skills and a willingness to constructively challenge where needed
This is a strategically important hire with long-term potential. The successful candidate will gain executive exposure, take ownership of key deliverables, and have a clear path to grow as the function matures.
If you’re looking for a role where you can shape, influence, and embed reward in a meaningful way, this is the one.
