HR / People Business Partner – Civil Construction
Fixed Term Contract for 6 months with a view to switch to Permanent (annual salary)
Based in Potters Bar – 4 days onsite and 1 day WFH
Paying £55,000
Duties
We are seeking a highly experienced People Business Partner, who will work closely with operational and leadership teams to provide expert guidance, support employee engagement, and improvement across the employee life‑cycle. This is a hands‑on, solutions‑focused role that requires both tactical thinking and operational delivery. You’ll be instrumental in managing employee relations, supporting talent development, and embedding our values throughout the business. You will be travelling 2× per month to Barking or other UK sites.
Essential
* 3–5 years experience in a People Business Partner, Advisor or Generalist role, with potential for progression
* Proven experience in managing employee relations from start to finish
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and best practice approaches
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Sound judgement, high levels of discretion and a proactive mindset
* IP/CIPD Level 5 (or working towards it) or equivalent experience
