Golf Travel Manager – Key Role
The Golf Travel Manager leads a small team and is responsible for managing and delivering exceptional travel services to high‑profile clients, including professional athletes and VIPs. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong people management skills, and the ability to coordinate complex travel logistics across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage complex worldwide itineraries and reservations, ensuring all travel arrangements meet client expectations.
* Coordinate travel for high‑profile and professional sports clients, building trusted long‑term relationships.
* Handle travel amendments efficiently, including changes, cancellations and ticket reissues through the GDS and other booking platforms.
* Provide on‑site event travel management support globally, including hotel allocation, coordination and overall logistics for events.
* Oversee daily team operations, maintaining smooth workflow, productivity and service quality while reporting directly to the Operations Director.
Skills and Experience
* Strong experience in corporate travel management.
* Expertise in Travelport GDS preferred but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent problem‑solving and fast, effective solution delivery for clients.
* Outstanding communication skills, liaising confidently with players, management and partners.
* Interest in golf welcome but not essential.
* Proven people management abilities, motivating, developing and managing teams to achieve high performance.
Other Information
* Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday (09:00–17:00 UK time). Occasional after‑hours and weekend support may be required.
* Work Arrangement: Hybrid – at least 2 days per week in the Halifax office and 3 days from home.
* Travel: Approximately 8–10 weeks of travel per year.
* Salary: Competitive, based on experience (details provided upon application).
* 22 days holiday + bank holidays, rising to 27 days with service.
* Additional days in lieu when travelling.
* Hybrid working, with 2 days in the office per week.
* Global travel.
