Experienced Civils Supervisor / Civil Site Manager

Turner Lovell are recruiting an Experienced Civils Supervisor/Manager to support ongoing works on a major UK energy infrastructure project. This role will work closely with the existing site management team to oversee and coordinate on-site civil activities, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with approved RAMS and project procedures.
The successful candidate will act as the eyes and ears on site during back-shift operations, maintaining control and oversight of site activities, and ensuring full compliance with site standards and HSE requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the existing site team in managing and coordinating civil works and subcontractor activities.
* Supervise site operations during back-shift hours (3 PM – 10 PM), maintaining full control of site activities.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with all RAMS, method statements, and project-specific procedures.
* Provide daily reporting to the Site GSM and highlight any issues, risks, or non-conformances.
* Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and HSE standards.
* Assist in the planning and sequencing of civil construction activities.
* Promote a positive safety culture and ensure high standards of workmanship and housekeeping on site.
* Liaise effectively with subcontractors, site personnel, and the client’s representatives.
Candidate Specification:
* Proven experience as a Civils Supervisor or Civil Site Manager on major UK infrastructure or energy projects.
* Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, groundworks, and site operations.
* Practical, hands-on leadership style with the ability to oversee multiple activities on site.
* Good understanding of RAMS, site documentation, and health & safety procedures.
* Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly during independent shift supervision.
* Qualifications required: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work, TWC/S, and HSG47 (beneficial)
