Quality Manager - Construction Programme

The Quality Manager (QM) is the lead contact for all quality matters within their assigned area of the business. The QM leads a team of quality professionals providing a quality management service, ensuring that all activities throughout the FPM project lifecycle are defined, planned, and implemented, and aligned to the RR SL Quality Policy, Strategy and Manual (Quality Programme). The QM provides support and guidance in the delivery of both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) and drives continual improvement across all project phases.
* Degree or professional qualification in a STEM subject, Quality Management or a relevant discipline, or an equivalent level of qualification and experience.
* Member or Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
* Training in quality management systems, assurance processes and regulatory compliance.
* Extensive experience in quality management, assurance or control on major infrastructure programmes.
* Proven track record in developing, implementing and maintaining quality management systems.
* Experience in auditing, reviewing and approving engineering construction and operational deliverables.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards and statutory compliance.
* Experience managing non‑conformance, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
* Familiar with quality tools, metrics and reporting systems and assurance frameworks.
* Demonstrated knowledge of or affinity with delivering quality through a previous role.
* Experience working within the aerospace, defence, nuclear, power or advanced manufacturing industry, typically in an operations, supply‑chain or engineering role.
* Ideally, knowledge of problem‑solving and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, Human Factors.
* Ideally, operational experience in activities within the relevant approved organisation scope.
