Nursery Cook– Full-Time (Monday to Friday) Location: SW18 Hours: Monday to Friday / 8.30AM - 1.30PM Salary: £14ph We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Cook to join our team and take full responsibility for the daily preparation of healthy and nutritious meals for children aged 0–5 years. This is a sole-charge role, ideal for someone who is confident working independently and committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and child nutrition. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks (breakfast, lunch, tea, and healthy snacks) in line with nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements. * Cater for children with allergies and special dietary needs, following individual care plans. * Ensure that all food is cooked and presented to a high standard, age-appropriate, and in line with portion guidance. * Conduct daily kitchen checks including fridge/freezer temps, food deliveries, and cleaning schedules. * Complete and maintain all HACCP documentation, food safety, and hygiene records accurately. * Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen to a 5-star standard at all times. * Carry out weekly stock checks, place food orders, and manage kitchen budget efficiently. Requirements: * Previous experience as a Nursery Chef or in a similar setting (school, care home, etc.). * Food Hygiene Certificate – Level 2 or above (Level 3 desirable). * Knowledge of allergen procedures and confident managing multiple dietary needs. * Ability to work independently, with excellent organisational and time-management skills. * A genuine passion for preparing nutritious meals for young children. * Clear Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). * Understanding of safeguarding procedures within an early years setting.
