Job Title: School Cook
Salary: £22,000 per annum
Location: Fieldstone School, Devon, TQ12 1NH
Contract: Permanent; Term Time Only
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Start: September 2025

Responsibilities
* To plan menus for the school with reference to the dietary needs of our young people
* To undertake the monitoring of stocks by date rotation, portion control and quality and in accordance with the budgetary controls set
* To set up and clean down the kitchen areas before and after day to day use
* To ensure that necessary preparation is undertaken for the day/weekly demand/needs of the School
* To be observant of the need to minimise waste
* To provide suitable food to staff/pupils with special dietary requirements

Fieldstone School is an independent day school, supporting the most vulnerable young people in society aged 5-16; those children who do not find it easy to fit into existing educational provision. This can be for many reasons, including a range of behavioural, emotional and educational challenges, exacerbated by being on the autistic spectrum. Other difficulties such as sensory processing disorders, attachment disorders or those having faced trauma in their lives. It is our intention that every student will achieve their full potential in both academic and personal development. As a day school, we provide an alternative to residential education which supports our students to develop independence and social skills whilst living in their home environment. Notes
