You will provide inclusive, values-led HR (workforce development) support across recruitment, onboarding, line management support, data management, policy implementation and workforce communications, ensuring every staff member experiences a consistent, supportive and person-centred journey
This HR Officer role is 12-month maternity cover
This HR Officer role offers Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 37 hours per week, (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)
The office location is out of the town centre and offers free parking and has access to great facilities, outside space to explore during breaks.
Ideal start is mid-October but can flex on this.
Some of the key HR Officer responsibilities include:
* Guide and support managers with contractual changes
* Ensure all pay and terms-related information is considered and actioned
* Support the Head of Workforce Development in annual pay reviews, including Real Living Wage roles.
* Support the introduction of standardised recruitment and onboarding toolkits across all teams and coordinate recruitment processes alongside line managers, including job advertising, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
* Manage vetting processes, job offer letters, and onboarding logistics in line with safer recruitment principles.
* Collect, analyse and report on workforce metrics (sickness, retention, diversity, feedback) to senior leaders and the trustees.
* Support implementation and review of Human Resources/Workforce Development policies and procedures
* Oversee and manage Human Resources/Workforce Development systems for supervision, absence management, and employee records
* Coordinate and support the delivery of face-to-face training sessions.
* Ensure all workforce members remain up to date with mandatory training requirements for their roles.
Your communication skills and HR experience in recruitment, staff well-being, performance management, and development will ensure success in this HR Officer role. CIPD qualification is desired or equivalent experience is desirable, as is experience and/or passion to work in not for profit sector
