We are seeking an exceptional leader for a new role of Head of People Data, Strategy and Design on a 12months contract. This is a pivotal new role that will transform how we approach workforce strategy and change at the RSC. You\\\'ll lead our Workforce Data and Organisation Design teams, driving data-driven people strategies and everyday interventions that support our global mission to advance chemistry for the benefit of humanity.What You\\\'ll DoLead People Analytics & Insights: Develop comprehensive workforce analytics models and metrics to inform strategic and operational decision making, including driving maximum value from our HRIS through a robust benefits realisation planEmbed Organisation Design: Lead our design work and the implementation of our target operating model (TOM), continuing to build our design maturity and ensuring we iterate our TOM over time in support of the RSC’s strategic ambitionBuild Strategic Workforce Planning Capability: Develop our approach to long-term workforce planning, informed by RSC’s strategy and TOM and integrated people and finance dataLead Effective Risk Management and Reporting: Own and develop workforce risk management though the strategic risk register, and also wider reporting to enable us to understand and improve the value of our people-focused activitiesWhat We\\\'re Looking ForCIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent extensive experience of successfully operating at a senior/lead levelProven expertise in developing and using people analytics, HRIS systems, and strategic workforce planning to improve organisational outcomesExperience of successfully operating as a people manager providing leadership and direction across a range of specialist services, aligned with the delivery of strategic people goalsSignificant experience of effective team building and development, enabling team members to flourish and reach their potential individually and collectivelyExcellent negotiation skills and an ability to influence outcomes through empathy, reasoning, persuasion and tact.Strategic and logical thinker and decision-maker able to provide practical and creative solutions to the management of corporate and directorate issues.High level analytical abilities: able to assimilate and analyse information quickly, identifying issues, priorities and potential solutions, and visualising and presenting data and insight in ways that effectively influence others Demonstrable continuous development and improvement of own professional practice.Proven experience of influencing strategic HR policy direction within a large / complex organisation, ideally with some experience of leading a people function with international colleagues.Experience in leading organisational design work, including successful implementation programmesExperience working in global, multi-professional environmentsExperience of the management and control of budgetsExcellent leadership skills with a track record of team development and change managementCommercial acumen with ability to manage delivery through partners and commercial suppliers ensuring full value is deliveredWhen applying, please provide an up-to-date CV and a supporting statement (no more than 500 words) indicating how your skills, knowledge and competencies match the requirements outlined in the job description.This role is office-based (either Cambridge or London) and we embrace hybrid working.
