Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Contract Type: Part-Time, Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: £16 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day (start between 8:00 am and 10:00 am)

Based in Stoke-on-Trent, they are recognised for their quality service and commitment to continuous improvement.
This is a fantastic part-time opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking for flexibility and variety. You will support and advise across all levels of the business, ensuring HR compliance, employee engagement, and accurate record keeping. Your ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality is essential in this standalone role.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Advise on HR policies and employment legislation
Support managers and employees with all HR queries and needs
Maintain employee records in line with data protection regulations
Lead recruitment processes: vetting, interviewing, onboarding
Complete HR admin: set up employees on Sage, right-to-work checks, contracts, payroll liaison
Handle disciplinary issues, investigations, and employee relations
Manage sickness absences and RTW documentation
Compile weekly agency timesheets and manage invoices
Provide daily absence reports to management
Keep training records up to date with H&S Manager
Organise and archive personnel files Requirements:
Proven HR experience, ideally in a standalone role
Strong understanding of HR legislation and best practice
Excellent IT skills (MS Office essential; Sage HR desirable)
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Empathetic, approachable, and discreet
Experience in handling recruitment, disciplinary matters, and training records Why Apply?
