Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Technical Sales Executive to join our small but ambitious team, focusing on Vehicle OEMs and Fleet Operators across the North of England.
About You
* You will be a self-starting hunter with a strong track record of success in the Power Management/Vehicle Fleet sales sector.
* You will have excellent listening and communication skills.
* You will drive success with your customers with a good technical ability and by utilising other team members where necessary.
* You will be a natural communicator with good relationship-building skills.
* You will be adaptable and eager to learn in a new market, and adopt a process of continuous improvement.
* You will have a Full UK Driving licence and be willing to travel across the UK as necessary.
The Role
New Business Development and Account Management
* Prospect, identify, qualify and build new business in Merlin’s target markets.
* Understand client needs and tailor solutions to win their business with solutions that build trust and repeat business.
* Nurture and grow existing accounts through proactive relationship management, identifying opportunities for growth.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions of sales agreements to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction.
* Conduct regular account calls and visits to maintain strong client relationships.
Technical Expertise and Experience
* Build your knowledge of power systems and products to a level that addresses client queries, becoming self-sufficient for first call and follow-up.
Sales Strategy and Reporting:
* Provide the Sales Director with regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates, highlighting achievements, challenges, and action plans.
* Participate in planning, executing, and following up on Merlin sales strategies.
* Meticulously record all activities in Merlin’s central CRM system.
