Sales Executive
£28,000 - £30,000 + Bonus + Pension Scheme
My client is looking for an experienced Telephone Account Manager – Account Management and Business Development; a self‑motivated, ambitious and experienced in B2B sales.
The company specialises in a bespoke food offering for the UK Food Distribution market.
The role will suit those with entrepreneurial flair and a desire to work their way up to the top through hard work, success, and innovation. 8.30am‑5.30pm.
The Role
* Managing and growing sales with existing customers / key accounts.
* Taking orders by phone/emails – processing sales orders and arranging dispatch with coordination with the warehouse team.
* Raising replenishment purchase orders to suppliers to maintain required products on the shelf.
* Good knowledge of Sage.
* Willingness to learn products & the market.
* Resolve customer disputes/issues regarding quality expectations, product shortages, damages, urgent and late delivery issues.
* Generate leads, contact prospective customers via phone, email and visit them as & when needed for business development and other matters.
* Prepare & submit sales reports as desired by management.
* Be part of developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies and programmes.
* Provide daily reports of field sales success and communicate the Voice of the Customer (VOC) data to superiors.
* Show good sales‑management skills to work in a B2B environment.
The Candidate
Essential Requirements
* Must have B2B product‑sales knowledge and experience of handling/managing key accounts – ideally within the FMCG food sector but not essential.
* Willingness to travel at least 1 day per week to visit customers for sales development, attending sample trials, seeing product in function, etc.
* Confident communicator with a can‑do attitude, a polite but firm telephone manner and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, customers, and service providers.
* A commercial, common‑sense approach.
* Ability to operate at pace under pressure, whilst not sacrificing quality and accuracy.
* Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
* Recognise the importance of attention to detail, yet awareness of the bigger picture.
* Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Camberley.
